A pair of Barça players faced off against a pair of Dolphins players in a series of cross-sport challenges on Monday morning, bringing European and American football up close and personal. The Miami Dolphins, Inter Miami, and their supporters are about to see a significant uptick in interest: This week, one of the most legendary clubs in soccer is visiting for a friendly.

While quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle represented the Miami Dolphins, Barcelona was represented by Serginho Dest and Raphinha.

The challenges were a part of a series created by the NFL called Game Recognize Game, which pairs American football players against players from international football teams as they compete in both conventional and novel talent assessments.

Serginho Dest’s sack against the Miami Dolphins duo

At DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, July 19, at 8 p.m., FC Barcelona will take on Inter Miami. Tickets for the game are sold out, which is to be anticipated when a team that regularly sells out stadiums the size of football fields takes the field in a venue with only 18,000 seats.
