Watch: Ted Cruz Was Smacked With A Beer Can During Astros World Series Parade In Houston

Ted Cruz, a senator from Texas, was struck with a beer can during the Houston Astros World Series Victory Parade on Monday, November 8, 2022.

During the march, Cruz climbed into the back of a truck and waved to the approximately one million spectators. Cruz was booed by the crowd, who were not pleased to see him.

Ted Cruz later on Twitter said that the object was a can of White Claw, a kind of malt alcohol with a beer base that goes by the name “hard cider” but is more commonly referred to as alcopop or malternative drinks.

Boos can be heard coming from the parade throng in a video of the event that was released on social media as Cruz, who is riding in the back of a military-style vehicle, passes by. People in the car try to protect him from the missile as it hurtles toward his head in the form of a can.

The Man Making The Assault on Ted Cruz was Arrested

A man was detained by Houston Police on Monday after he threw a beer can at Ted Cruz. According to a tweet from the Houston police, the 33-year-old suspect was apprehended and jailed on assault-related charges. The name of the man was kept a secret by the police.

Cruz was struck by the beer can in the chest and neck region, according to the police, although he didn’t require medical attention at the time of the attack.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, a Democrat, also denounced the incident. He urged people to refrain from using violence or throwing alcohol at those they disagreed with politically.

Last month, Ted Cruz suffered a similar situation when he was jeered at a New York Yankees game. Vote for the climate now! He was repeatedly shouted at by the climate protesters during an appearance on The View.

In recent weeks, there has been an increase in violence directed at elected leaders. This also applies to Paul Pelosi, the husband of Nancy Pelosi, who was struck with a hammer at home last month.

It goes without saying that the Houston players had a blast, even though their shared contempt for Cruz garnered media attention and brought Astros supporters together during the championship parade.

In Game 6 of the World Series on Saturday, the Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 to win the title for the second time in the team’s history.
