The quarterback of the Chicago Bears took off on a second-and-27 when the play began at the 50-yard line. He raced all the way into the end zone in spite of the obstacles, cheering up the Bears and improving their chances.

However, it turned out that he had stepped out of bounds close to the 10-yard line, so we weren’t finished yet. Then, instead of witnessing the season’s first score, we witnessed a first-and-goal. As soon as David Montgomery scored on his first attempt, disappointment quickly changed back to joy.
