WATCH: Derwin James Performs Brock Lesnar Inspired WWE Move on Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce
Brock Lesnar is one wrestler that receives jeers merely at the mention of his name. He is a beast who, when given the chance, has ruled like a few others. Now, an NFL player, Derwin James, tried to replicate his suplex city move in the opening game of his team against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Suplex is a wrestling hold wherein the wrestler drags the opponent backward by grabbing him about the waist from behind. The beginning of Suplex City occurred in 2014 as a result of Brock repeatedly picking up Cena and suplexing him. During the bout, Brock was quite outspoken and directed a lot of his insults toward Cena.
When the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a fellow All-Pro, confronted him at the goal line, the Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James added some professional wrestling to Amazon Prime’s debut “Thursday Night Football” feed.

Late in the third quarter, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes raced to locate Kelce at the Chargers’ 10-yard line after escaping a crumbling pocket. Once he had the ball, it was difficult to see Kelce being stopped before reaching the end zone, especially when he managed to shake off two Chargers defenders. The 260-pound Kelce was then smashed to the ground like a bag of potatoes by James when he moved in front of the end zone and snatched him up.

In addition to being among the league’s finest safeties, one of Derwin James’ many qualities is that he not only dominates wide receivers but also tight ends. Being 260 pounds, Kelce’s achievement was no little one. The play appears considerably more violent in the replay:

The Chiefs were fortunate to escape a costly red-zone fumble when the officials determined Kelce lost possession of the ball upon impact with the ground.
