WATCH: Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and OC Eric Bieniemy Enter Into a Verbal Spat During Half-Time vs Indianapolis Colts

Despite having problems in this game, the Chiefs are still dominating 14-10 despite Patrick Mahomes missing a wide-open Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a possible long touchdown.

Mahomes is not playing well; he is 10 of 14 for 84 yards, a score, and a handful of incomplete passes. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, appeared to be upset with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy after the team’s last drive of the first half against the Indianapolis Colts.

The offensive coordinator and the team’s top quarterback appear to be displeased with how the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts concluded.

Patrick Mahomes and Eric Bieniemy’s spat

Before the half, Kansas City’s offensive coordinator made the decision to just run the clock out, which Mahomes questioned as the squad made its way to the locker room. Mahomes’ desire to be more aggressive was evident. He was visibly arguing with Bieniemy in front of the CBS cameras about the team’s approach.

Andy Reid, the head coach, had to step in to help Patrick Mahomes find the locker room during halftime. Bieniemy could have made the wiser choice with the team receiving the ball at halftime if he had chosen to go into the half rather than attempt another lengthy scoring play.

It will be interesting to watch if this disagreement helps the offense gel and gets its act together in the second half. Additionally, it can be a harbinger of future issues.
