In the wake of the Dolphins’ 34-31 playoff loss to the Bills, Mike McDaniel is being questioned about a variety of factors, not all of them have to do with how he handled the clock.

One of them spoke specifically about what he was doing on the bench when the CBS cameras focused on his face during the game.

McDaniel was photographed by the broadcast team with his hands covering his lips. Some viewers said McDaniel appeared to be hiding a vape pen in his palm and taking a “rip” as the cameras went away.

It won’t help that Mike McDaniel will be criticised for the Dolphins’ terrible clock management during their playoff loss to the Bills.

The Dolphins’ fourth and feet, which had been a trend for the Dolphins’ offence all day, was turned into a fourth and six with Miami trailing by three points and perhaps only having time for one more drive.

Since the play was unsuccessful, the game was effectively won by a turnover on downs.

With the rookie head coach vaping on the sidelines in the middle of the game, perhaps McDaniels was a little slow in calling plays.

Having said that, it’s possible that McDaniel wasn’t vaping in the stands. Another equally logical argument explains why McDaniel would be placed in that position during the game.
