“I don’t know what’s coming, but I know my Achilles needs to be as healthy and strong as possible, as soon as possible,” Cousins said. “I’m here in Antigua as a way to not necessarily speed up the healing process but just make sure when I do come back that my Achilles is as strong as it can possibly be and that I have a lot more football, American football left in me.”

His decision to receive stem cell treatment, according to his cousins, had nothing to do with how quickly he recovered. Furthermore, he wants to make sure that his Achilles is as strong as possible upon his return.

The 35-year-old sought an additional healing boost from the surgery since, as he stated, he does not expect his career to finish anytime soon.

There is a growing assumption that the Vikings will be able to bring back Cousins on a team-friendly contract, even if it is unclear what teams could be interested in him as a quarterback.

But before discussing his future, he has to demonstrate that he has fully recovered from the Achilles injury.

Dr. Chad Prodromos, the CEO and medical director of the Prodromos Cell Treatment Institute in Chicago, gave Cousins his recommendation for the course of treatment.

“I’ve known Kirk for a while,” Prodromos said. “The stem cells have the potential to enhance healing. They also have some benefits in enhancing overall health and recovery, which is why a lot of football players use them.”

At the Prodromos Stem Cell Institute in Chicago, Dr. Prodromos is the CEO and medical director. He clarified that although the medication is safe, the FDA has restricted his options in the US. Kirk Cousins flew to Antigua and received treatment at Dr. Joseph John’s offices as a result.

In Week 8 of the previous season, Cousins had an Achilles tear, which ended his 2023 campaign. Cousins was outstanding while quarterback was on the field this season. quarterback completed 69.5 percent of his throws for 2,331 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions, and his passer rating was 103.8.

This summer, the 35-year-old is scheduled to become a free agent.
