Another scary incident in the NFL involving Russell Gage of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After the hit, Gage tried to get up on his feet several times but was unable to do so. Players from both teams formed a huddle around him till he received adequate medical attention. Once the Buccaneers medical staff took care of him, Gage was able to get back up to his feet, he was then placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital where he received further medical attention.

After the game, head coach Todd Bowles said, “They took him to the hospital. Right now, he has a concussion. They’re also testing him for potential neck injuries.”
Fellow teammate Lavonte David also shared his thoughts on the incident saying, “It was really tough especially with what happened a couple weeks ago. Russ is a great dude off the field and a great guy on the field. We definitely hope he’s well. He was moving and stuff like that; that was a good sign. Definitely hope he’s OK.”
"With a lot of injuries, you just always have to remember the next-guy-up mentality."
