‘Trying to Take Away My Greatness’- Israel Adesanya Issues $3 Million Challenge to Anyone Who Can Prove He Took PED’s in 2020’s ‘Ti*tygate’
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya had some fiery words for the media during his media day appearance at UFC 276. On the day ‘The Last Stylebender’ received his recognition from USADA for being a clean athlete, he fired shots at everyone who had formerly accused him of taking steroids following UFC 253.
Adesanya was seen with a swollen pectoral muscle, and this led to many internet sleuths trying to defame his win over Paulo Costa, claiming he had taken steroids. The now infamous ‘Tittygate’ somewhat sullied his efforts against Costa and ‘Izzy’ was more than pleased to rub it in everyone’s face now.

Israel Adesanya has an offer you can’t refuse
Adesanya put everyone on notice at UFC 276’s presser when he offered $3 million to anyone who can provide ‘concrete evidence’ that he had taken steroids. He went on record saying that he’s never even touched steroids, let alone ingested any of them for a competitive advantage.
“When you’re great, they talk about ‘Tittygate,’” Adesanya said. “At the same time, I’m like, ‘How the f***?’ They just need to find excuses to take away my greatness. I understand this is what people are supposed to do, so I let them.”
“Look, I will give $3 million to anyone who can ever have concrete evidence that I even know what the f*** I’m doing with steroids or how to take steroids. I promise you. $3 million if you can find anyone who has concrete evidence that I’ve ever even purchased, touched, or done any kind of performance-enhancing drugs or whatever.”
Adesanya was clearly annoyed that some fans and media members had taken away from his victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 253 due to the steroid accusations. Moreover, he saw these statements as defamatory and doubled down on his $3 million offer to anyone who can prove he took PED’s.
“So yeah, $3 million for anyone who can ever find any concrete evidence that I’ve been using performance-enhancing drugs. Pull up. This is easy. It’s easy to talk and type online, but really it got to me a little after the Costa fight. I was like, ‘These f***ing c***s are just trying to take away my greatness, because I had a f***ing spectacular performance.’ I’m like, ‘How the f*** are you trying to take that away with accusations based on nothing.” [h/t bjpenn.com]
