Trevor Lawrence Net Worth, Salary and Endorsements
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence as their first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. As shown by DraftKings’ betting odds, everyone expected this, which took bettors a $10,000 bet to win $100 on the pick.
Jaguars supporters believe Lawrence and his floating blond locks will turn around a team that has witnessed just one winning season over the last 13 years, including a league-worst 1-15 record in 2020. The fans were so excited about Trevor joining Jacksonville camp that they flocked to his wedding registry to purchase presents (including an expensive toaster) for the quarterback and his lifelong partner, Marissa Mowry.
Trevor Lawrence Net Worth: He just got richer
Lawrence loved the fan outreach, but as the top pick in the world’s wealthiest sports league, he can buy as many toasters as he wishes. His four-year deal is estimated to earn him $36.8 million, including a $24.1 million signing bonus.
Trevor Lawrence’s $24.8 million paychecks in 2021 in Jacksonville, which covers his base salary, will be further boosted by his endorsements for Gatorade, Adidas, and blockchain company Blockfolio. After three consecutive trips to the College Football Playoff, he was the most marketable rookie entering the draft this year. It’s a long list of endorsements for the former Clemson quarterback, and it’s only going to get longer.
Trevor Lawrence’s contract with the #Jaguars should be:
▪️ 4 year, $36.7M contract
▪️ Fully guaranteed
▪️ $24.1M signing bonus
▪️ $6.6M 2021 cap hit
▪️ 5th-year option availablehttps://t.co/ACGqBrRXIN— Spotrac (@spotrac) April 30, 2021
The X-Factor: Rise of Social Media
A player assigned to a smaller market like Jacksonville may have been limited to local sponsorship deals in a previous generation. That is no longer the case. The globe has shrunk thanks to social media, and Lawrence, one of the most well-known athletes in the country, is set to benefit. However, there is an argument to be made that No. 2 selection Zach Wilson, who plays for the New York Jets in a much larger market, will eventually out-earn Lawrence off the field.

How can an NFL rookie earn so much?
For most people, it’s a lifetime’s worth of money. But had he been signed before the 2011 NFL, the 21-year old QB would have received a fraction of his current package. During pre-2011 seasons, the CBA cut rookie salaries and locked them to a draft slot.
Quarterback Sam Bradford signed a six-year, $78 million contracts in 2010, while fellow quarterback Matthew Stafford signed a seven-year, $72 million contract.
Cam Newton was the first player to see the new CBA’s impact. The first pick in 2011 agreed to a four-year contract worth $22 million, including a $14.5 million bonus. A formula tied to the NFL salary cap and “rookie bonus pool” determines the contracts for draft picks.
After the league’s sales deficit last season due to low attendance, the 2021 ceiling is down 8% to $182.5 million. Rookie contracts are up this year, as agreed to in the 2020 CBA, for the first time since 2011.
And if the ceiling was reduced, the contract allowed for a 1% rise in rookie signing incentives and a higher starting wage. The starting wage for 2020 is $610,000, and that will increase to $660,000 this season, giving each rookie deal a $300,000 boost on top of the signing bonus.
The exact figure is unknown, given that Trevor Lawrence is yet to start his professional football career. However, judging by the figures mentioned above, he is set to become the next big thing in the Jaquars’ history, at least in financial terms.
