Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes Branded ‘Aliens’ by Rams Coach Ahead of Their Game
Patrick Mahomes is having yet another season where he is in strong contention for MVP honors at the end of the season. Through 10 games, Mahomes has a league-high 3,265 passing yards and 28 touchdown passes, only nine touchdowns shy of his 2021 total. Despite losing Tyreek Hill in the off-season, Mahomes and the Chiefs have not slowed down, in fact, Mahomes has just increased his offense that flows through tight end Travis Kelce.
Ahead of their game against the defending champions, the Los Angeles Rams, defensive coordinator Raheem Morris shares his thoughts on facing the combination of Kelce and Mahomes.
He said, “They also have an alien at tight end. The rest of the guys are playing their butts off and they’re doing a nice job just from that standpoint. This team is extremely hard and difficult to prepare for and plan for.”

He continued, “But you got to go out there and like every other week, stop the run. You got to go out there and lock down and take away what you want to take away in that particular play, limit those guys to explosives and have the ability to try to get the ball back.”

So far this season, the connection between Kelce and Mahomes has just gotten better.
