One of the Buffaloes’ best players, Travis Hunter, left Jackson State prior to the 2023 campaign. His play as a wide receiver and cornerback was evident, and he had a big influence on both sides of the ball.

Hunter had an outstanding season despite missing three games due to injuries. As a wide receiver, he had 721 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while as a cornerback, he had 30 total stops and three interceptions.

Leanna and Travis are sweethearts from high school.

The connection between Hunter and Lenee began during their time as seniors at Collins High School. Hunter’s senior year saw them move in together, and their relationship has only been closer ever since. The couple started their “Travis and Leanna” YouTube channel in 2022 to give followers an inside look at their relationships and daily lives.

Following the 2023 season, Hunter proposed to Lenee while on vacation in Puerto Rico, to which she gladly said yes. Social media was used to celebrate their engagement, with Lenee sharing the happy occasion with her fans.
