Fenerbahce, who now hold second place in the Super Liga, took a halftime lead thanks to two goals from Brazilian midfielder Fred.
After 63 minutes, midfielder Enis Bardhi of North Macedonia scored for the home team with a curling free kick, and Trézéguet equalized with a penalty kick in the 78th. Tensions between the two sides, who have a history of wild matches, were high as supporters threw objects into the field and Fenerbahce’s Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi scored the game’s winning goal in the 87th minute.

The Trabzonspor supporters booed loudly when Fenerbahce started celebrating in midfield, and some of them even leaped onto the field to rush at the Fenerbahce players.
A black-clad fan approached the squad and made an effort to confront many players and other team personnel. Several individuals reported on X that the man looked to be holding a weapon of some kind.
A fan rushed the pitch and engaged Bright Osayi-Samuel, a defender for Fenerbahce, in combat. As security personnel attempted to step in, the footage showed Osayi-Samuel stomping out at fans and swinging his hand toward the fan.

Then, when security personnel attempted to shelter Fenerbahce players who were fleeing the field, scores more invaded the ground.
Ismail Kartal, the head coach of Fenerbahce, said that his players had not incited the crowd and that his team had been assaulted, whereas Abdullah Avci, his counterpart, stated that the last moments had been distressing.
Later on X, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that officials were looking into the fight and trying to figure out who the people that invaded the pitch were. Sport above all is a gentlemanly activity. Violence on football fields is never acceptable, the man declared.

The event follows a slew of other controversy-filled moments in the Turkish league this season, such as a club president’s attack on a referee, the postponing of a Saudi Arabian domestic cup final, and other protests over refereeing decisions.
