Julius Randle currently plies his trade with New York Knicks in the NBA. He was a first-time NBA All-Star in his second season with the Knicks in 2020–21. Randle was a third-team All-American in his lone season of collegiate basketball with the Kentucky Wildcats. The Los Angeles Lakers selected him with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft.

Julius Randle fractured his right leg in the first game of the regular season, which caused him to miss the rest of the year. He spent four years with the Lakers before signing with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he played for one season before joining the Knicks.

Julius Randle assisted Kentucky in making it to the national championship game, where they were defeated by the University of Connecticut. He finished the 2013–14 season with 24 double-doubles, which is the second-most in school history for a UK player. In 2014, he was named SEC Rookie of the Year.
