Evan Fournier currently plays for New York Knicks in the NBA. From 2007 to 2009, he was a youth basketball player in the French INSEP program. Fournier signed a one-year contract with JSF Nanterre in the LNB Pro B in September 2009. Evan Fournier committed to a two-year contract with Poitiers Basket 86 of the LNB Pro A in June 2010. Fournier was chosen by the Denver Nuggets as the 20th overall choice in the 2012 NBA Draft on June 28, 2012.

In exchange for Arron Afflalo, Evan Fournier was moved to the Orlando Magic on June 26, 2014, along with the draft rights to Devyn Marble. They exchanged Fournier for Jeff Teague and two future second-round draft selections by the Boston Celtics on March 25, 2021. Fournier was acquired by the New York Knicks in a sign-and-trade with the Celtics on August 17, 2021.

Francois and Meriem Fournier gave birth to Evan Fournier. Evan is the lone kid. Evan’s parents were both Judo competitors, and his mother is still a Judo instructor today. In 2002, Evan Fournier developed a passion for basketball as a result of the Sacramento Kings’ 2001–2002 campaign.
