Tom Brady Opens Up On His “Amicable Divorce”, He’s Focused On Taking Care Of His Children

The recent problems of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the conclusion of his highly public divorce from Gisele Bündchen show that Tom Brady has a lot going on.

Brady spoke about how he is addressing these two scenarios on his Sirius XM show “Let’s Go” on Monday. This poses some severe problems for work-life balance.

For The First Time, Tom Brady Opens Up On His “Amicable Divorce”

“There’s a lot of professionals in life that go through things that they deal with at work, and they deal with at home,” said Brady via Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post. “And obviously, the good news is it’s a very amicable situation, and I’m really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly doing the best job I can to win football games.

“You focus at work when it’s time to work, and then when you come home, you focus on the priorities that are at home. All you can do is the best you can do. That’s what I’ll continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m a dad.”

In discussing how he will manage his personal and professional lives, Brady noted that he had faced many challenges over his 23 years in the NFL.

That, according to Tom Brady, is what professionalism entails. “Over the course of 23 years, I’ve dealt with a lot of difficult circumstances both on and off the field, and a lot of it does unfold in public. I often say that even if we appear in TV, we’re not actors, so I believe the exciting thing for a football player and an athlete, in general, is that you’re out there. That is who we really are outside. We’re giving it our best effort.”

It is simple for Tom Brady to claim that he keeps business and personal matters separate, but it is much more challenging to really do so. He has consistently been under fire for extracurricular activities that seemed to affect his effectiveness on the field of play, and this criticism will not stop until the Buccaneers start succeeding.

At 3-5 and in second place in the NFC South behind the Atlanta Falcons, Brady is off to the worst start to a season of his career. He should be able to assist the Buccaneers in salvaging their season now that the divorce has been finalized.

In Week 9, he will have the chance to do so against the Los Angeles Rams, who have endured some difficulties after winning the Super Bowl last year.
