NFL Richard Sherman, a former cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks and commentator for Thursday Night Football, was taken into custody early on Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to the police.

According to jail records, Sherman, 35, was taken into custody at 3:48 a.m. in King County, Washington, which is located beneath greater Seattle. According to trooper Rick Johnson of the Washington State Patrol, the former player was taken into custody. He indicated that further information will become available if official charges were brought in this matter.

According to the documents, the Super Bowl veteran was arrested at 4:51 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence by law authorities. It seemed like Sherman was still in custody on Saturday night since there was no mention of a bond or bail.
After crashing his car into a construction zone and attempting to enter into his in-laws’ house north of Seattle, police said Sherman, 35, was arrested in July 2021 on charges of drunk driving and domestic disturbance.

When Sherman entered a guilty plea to two misdemeanor counts in Seattle in March 2022, the matter was resolved.
Following his plea, Sherman stated in court, according to the Associated Press, “I’m grateful for the community we have and the way people continue to accept you even though you’re a flawed human being and made a mistake.”
One of the best defensive backs of the 2010s, Sherman was selected an All-Pro five times and made five trips to the Pro Bowl.
He was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-Decade Team of the 2010s in 2020, making him one of the best defensive players of his breed.

Sherman played seven seasons in Seattle and then three in San Francisco. In addition, he played for Stanford University during his collegiate career and for Tampa Bay.
He was employed as a football analyst more recently.
In Seattle in 2022, Sherman entered a guilty plea to two misdemeanor counts related to a drunk driving incident and a domestic dispute the previous year. He also acknowledged that he had broken the law by speeding in an area where there was road work.
