Three Things where LeBron James Trumps Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan is and probably will forever be the greatest player of basketball. His will, dominance and his game all set him apart, and he has been doing so for the past 20 years as well.
However, there are people out there that compare Jordan to other players and make arguments on who is better. And even today, we will be listing down LeBron James’s things at than Michael Jordan.
Now Jordan and LeBron play different positions. Jordan was a pure scoring shooting guard, whereas LeBron is more of a point forward in the league. I’ll explain that further when we move deeper into the article. So let’s get to it.

Rebounding
This is something everyone can agree on. LeBron is a much better rebounder than Jordan. But that is also because LeBron likes to control the whole team’s pace on a fastbreak, whereas Jordan himself was the fastbreak option for his team.
LeBron has much better teammates than Jordan ever did. Sure, Scottie Pippen was always around, but Jordan was always the first scoring option on the team, and he had to focus more on the scoring part rather than the rebounding aspect.
And that is why we can all agree that LeBron is a better rebounder. Plus, the two-inch height difference does play a role in the rebounding aspect, where Jordan was listed at 6’6 and LeBron is listed at 6’8.
Passing
Not that Jordan was a lousy facilitator, it’s just that LeBron creates better assistance for his teammates. As I said before, LeBron has had much better teammates than Jordan, with currently having players like Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroeder.
LeBron can always throw a lob to Davis, whereas Jordan would’ve been on the other end of the lob instead. Jordan was a decent passer but would rather have preferred finishing his plays rather than giving the ball over to someone.
Jordan wasn’t a ball hog, he just knew it was either him or Scottie. Dennis was a defensive presence rather than an offensive one, and players like Steve Kerr and Toni Kukoc were still developing players in the league back then.

Defense-Blocks
Now, this was a tough one because Jordan was excellent on defence as well. He would constantly pressure the whole team, deflecting balls left and right and getting steals to finish off the fastbreak.
But there is one area of defence that LeBron has mastered, and that is his blocks. LeBron is known as a chase-down artist in the league. If the other team has a fastbreak and LeBron has his feet under him, then you can be sure Bron will be sticking that ball to the glass, chasing it down.
LeBron’s chase-down block on Andre Iguodala in the 2016 NBA finals is still highlighted as one of the greatest defensive plays in history. Jordan and LeBron are excellent on defence, where one master in blocks and the other masters in steals and deflections. Jordan blocked big men in the league, too, but LeBron has made it his signature move that many NBA players mimic.
LeBron may be better than Jordan in a few aspects, but Michael Jordan will forever remain the greatest player ever to play basketball.
