“Things Aren’t Gonna Be Perfect”- Stefon Diggs Details the Changes Made in Order to Secure a Hard-Fought Win Against the Detroit Lions

Eleven games into the season and the Buffalo Bills are 8-3 at the moment. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and co have been impeccable so far, barring a few minor blips here and there. The most recent example of the same was in-game weeks eight and nine when the Bills succumbed to two losses on the trot against the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings. However, things returned to normalcy with two back-to-back wins against the Browns and now against the Lions.

In what was the first of three games in a jam-packed Thanksgiving day in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills took on arguably one of the worst teams in the league in the form of the Detroit Lions. Although the Bills did eventually get the win, it was not easy to come by.

Stefon Diggs Josh Allen Hugs – BFF

Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen have been one of the best, if not the best, quarterback-wide receiver pairing in the league so far this season. Unfortunately, that did not seem to be the case against the Lions as the two men did not match on the same wavelength.

Stefon Diggs sheds light on a hard-fought win for the Buffalo Bills

Diggs had three catches for 12 yards while being targeted 10 times when Buffalo got the ball down three points with nine minutes left in the game. Diggs would catch four passes on the ensuing drive, including a five-yard touchdown with 2:40 left in the game.

After the game, Stefon Diggs shared his thoughts on what turned out to be a tough day in the office. He said, “I tried to tell the guys everything in the past is the past,” Diggs said, via the team’s website. “We didn’t get off to the best start, but you keep rolling with the punches. Things aren’t gonna be perfect; I’m riding with my guy.”

Diggs continued, “We just had to try to get on the same page, every week is different. So reinventing yourself but you got the same mindset and going into that game and we wanted to execute at a high level. Things didn’t happen perfectly but we figured it out.”

It is games and performances like these that separate good teams from great teams. Being able to secure a win when your team is not clicking shows the championship mettle of a team and the Buffalo Bills definitely have it in spades.
