“They Can’t F**k With Me”- Commanders’ Owner Dan Snyder Said to Have Hired Private Investigators to Dig Up Dirt on Fellow Team Owners

With each passing year, the popularity of the NFL as a league and football, in general, continues to grow at unprecedented levels. This obviously has a trickle-down effect on team owners, employees, players, and more especially, financially. Dan Snyder of the Washington Commanders is one such owner who has benefitted tremendously.

In May 1999, Snyder received a unanimous 31-0 vote that allowed him to purchase the Washington Redskins for a whopping $800 million. While his ownership tenure might not have panned out the fans would have envisaged, Snyder’s $800 million investment is now worth a whopping $5.6 billion as of August 2022.

Given how things are going, it is very likely that Snyder will be asked by the league to sell his ownership in the team and vacate his status as a team owner in the NFL. Snyder’s tenure as owner of the Commanders has been marred with allegations of toxic club culture, sexual harassment, accounting misdeeds, and the bungling of a new stadium proposal that once seemed inevitable.

There is an NFL league meeting taking place on Tuesday which might play a key role in Dan Snyder and his ownership of his beloved team. Reports suggest that a number of team owners and high-ranking NFL officials want Snyder gone given how he has behaved as a team owner.

Dan Snyder will not go down without a fight

However, getting Snyder out of his beloved commanders is something that is easier said than done. According to reports, Snyder is believed to have hired private investigators to dig up dirt on fellow team owners as well as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Representatives from Snyder’s camp have categorically denied such claims, but a number of reports suggest that Snyder has a file on Dallas Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones among other owners as well. In his inner circle, the Commander’s owner is said to have proclaimed, “They can’t f— with me. The NFL is a mafia. All the owners hate each other.” “That’s not true,” one veteran owner says. “All the owners hate Dan.”
