“The Warriors Got SMOKED”: LeBron James’ Former Teammate Calls Out Steve Kerr as Warriors Lose in Stephen Curry’s Absence
On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors participated in a basketball game. We write about the Warriors because they compete in the NBA, yet against the Brooklyn Nets, they hardly resembled a squad from that league. Despite having a back-to-back and injuries as an excuse, the Dubs played Kevin Durant and the Nets and lost 143-113. Many people are starting to question whether Stephen Curry was the team’s heart and soul. After all, without him, the side led by Steve Kerr appear abominably weak, especially as the reigning champs.
Underneath the garbage, though, James Wiseman was making a message that was certain to make franchise fans cry. Kendrick Perkins promptly criticized the Warriors on Twitter after the humbling defeat.
Kendrick Perkins slams Warriors coach Steve Kerr
Perkins said: “The Warriors got SMOKED last night by the Knicks and now the Nets beating the brakes off them… at what point is Steve Kerr going to have his team ready to compete! It’s a lot different when you don’t have Steph to bail you out huh?! Don’t mind me tho and Carry on…”

The Warriors were behind 91-51 at the break after giving up the most points in a half in team history. For the next 24 minutes of regulation, the defense maintained it’s All-Star Game exhibition level. In the second half, Moses Moody, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and James Wiseman all had some standout performances.
A productive game, regardless of quality, displays Wiseman’s potential as the Warriors get closer to determining whether to keep their commitment to him or be willing to deal with him. More of this indicates that the NBA, whether in Golden State or elsewhere, will enjoy it more.
