“The NFL Is Rigged”- Browns Fans React in Anger After a False Start Call Costs Them a Potential Win Against the Baltimore Ravens
In the seventh game week of their 2022 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens welcomed the Cleveland Browns to the M&T Bank Stadium in what was poised to be an extremely close game between two evenly matched teams. Once the dust settled, it was the Ravens who walked away with a 23-20 win over the Browns. The win now gives them a record of 4-3 and puts them on top of the table in the AFC North standings.

The first quarter started really well for the Browns, who took a 10-3 lead thanks to Nick Chubb and Cade York. In the second quarter, the Ravens equalized and then took the lead as well, thanks to Justin Tucker and Gus Edwards. The score at the end of the second quarter was 13-10 in favor of the Ravens.

In the third quarter, the Ravens built up a 10-point advantage with an early touchdown. But the lead was then cut down by seven points thanks to a field goal from Cade York. This definitely had the Ravens fans sweating bullets since their team has blown a double-digit lead in the second half of each of its three losses this season. However, the Ravens held on for a deserve 23-20 win over the Browns.

While the game did end with a victory for the Ravens, it was not without controversy. Amari Cooper was denied a touchdown due to an offensive pass interference call as he appeared to appeared to hold off cornerback Marcus Peters.

Despite that, the Browns got within range to try a long field goal but a false start before that snap forced Cade York to try it from 60. The officials had a lengthy discussion before the false start call, which was obviously a huge swing since it pushed the field goal back when an offside flag would have moved it closer.
