The Family of Mike Trout: Everything you Need to know about the Athletes
In the world of Major League Baseball, Mike Trout is one of the names that have stolen the show over the last few years with his gallant performances. The 29-year-old center outfield player has ensured that he makes it to the top of the list in MLB when it comes to performing at the highest level. Starting his professional career in 2012 for the Los Angeles Angels, Trout has become one of the most consistent performers, earning him a huge contract of $430 million, which will see him staying with the Angels till he turns 39 years old.
Mike used to feature for both the baseball as well as the basketball team when he attended high school. However, he finally chose the path that his father had walked on earlier in his career and became a baseball player, one of the finest in the world to say the least. Mike’s father, Jeff Trout, was a professional baseball player who used to play for the University of Delaware. He was picked as a second baseman by the Minnesota Twins in 1983. However, a series of knee injuries cut his career short as Jeff had to retire from playing minor league baseball for four years.

Mike’s mother, Debbie Busonick Trout, is a proud mom of three children. Mike has two siblings in the form of sister Teal and brother Tyler, who grew up in their home situated in Millville, New Jersey. In fact, Mike started his playing career at the Millville Senior High School. He started off his career as a shortstop and a pitcher but was later shifted to play as an outfielder. It seems to be the right decision as he has now made his career with the Angels as one of the best center outfield players that the game has ever produced.
Mike got married to his long-time girlfriend, Jessica Cox in 2017. The two met at the high school and fell for each other. They dated for 11 long years and finally tied the knot on December 9th, 2017. It is quite a story about how Mike Trout proposed to Jessica. The two went to the Far East for a vacation in 2016 when Mike hired a plane that had written on it, “Will you marry me Jessica?” He told her to look at the sky while walking out of a building. It goes without saying that the proposal was accepted gleefully by Jessica and the two got married after 18 months.
