The Absurd Case of Nathaniel Hackett at Denver Broncos: Are Two Games Too Early to Get Fired?

On Sunday, the Denver Broncos defeated the Houston Texans 16-9. In Week 1, against the Seahawks, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett made a terrible “Monday Night Football” debut.

Even though Denver managed to win in Week 2, things continued to deteriorate. Yet it wasn’t attractive. In his home debut, rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett received boos from the Denver crowd due to a string of poor game management decisions.

QB Russell Wilson jumped behind the wheel of Nathaniel Hackett’s clown vehicle and rode to Broncos Country’s aid. Wilson spearheaded a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat lowly Houston 16-9 on a Sunday, saving a naïve rookie head coach from himself.

Fans boo Nathaniel Hackett against Texans

In a rare turn of events, the home fans, fed up with Denver’s possession of the ball and numerous delays of game penalties, began to count down the remaining seconds of the play clock in the closing minutes.

Clearly unimpressed with Hackett’s performance thus far, Broncos supporters have been booing their side nonstop during the contest.

With 3:41 remaining in the third quarter and Denver behind Houston 9-6, Nathaniel Hackett decided against going for the first down on fourth-and-2 from Houston’s 36-yard line. However, the Broncos took a while to prepare the kick, as Hackett considered his options in a fourth-down gamble scenario.

The Broncos were penalized five yards for a delay of game, and as a result, they punted instead of trying a 59-yard field goal.

Too early to sack Nathaniel Hackett?

Broncos triumphed. They are 1-1, we know. However, this is the lowest we can recall seeing a team. We’re discussing the Denver Broncos. A team that has won a few Super Bowls and has always been good. It’s awful to have your supporters start the play clock counting down because you continuously make mistakes. Giving the ball to the tight end is not using your brains. It’s stupid.

Punting after accepting a 5-yard penalty is worse. All of this is in response to what occurred on Monday Night Football. What’s even more astounding is that. Nathaniel Hackett spoke extensively on learning from mistakes and preventing them in a press conference. Instead, he continues to do this, as seen.

Wilson provided the Broncos hope at a time when they really needed it. Can anyone in Broncos Country, though, still have faith in this coach at this moment to keep this team from going off the rails?
