Tensions Have Cooled Down Between Rodney Hudson and Arizona Cardinals After a Surprising No-Show For Mini-Camp
Center Rodney Hudson’s future with the Arizona Cardinals was in doubt, but he will reportedly join the team again and play in 2022, according to reports. Hudson has notified the franchise, per NFL Media, that he will report to training camp on July 26.
Hudson allegedly informed the team he will report to training camp after receiving only the bare minimum birthday wishes from the club on Twitter and being left out of a graphic with his teammates four starting offensive linemen. The Cardinals might want to tweet center Rodney Hudson a belated birthday greeting.
The three-time Pro Bowl honoree Hudson’s return aids in the offensive line’s stability in front of franchise quarterback Kyler Murray. According to Rapoport, Hudson will be there when Arizona begins training camp on July 26 at State Farm Stadium.

According to a tweet from the team that included Hudson in uniform and the phrase “Man in the Middle,” the team has reportedly verified it.

The second year of Hudson’s three-year, $30 million deal is about to begin. Hudson, who turned 33 a little over a week ago, has played in three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro game. In the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected him out of Florida State. He signed with the Raiders before the 2015 offseason.
In his debut year in Arizona after being dealt to the Cardinals in March of last year, Hudson appeared in 12 games. It’s unclear whether we will learn what the disagreement between the Cardinals and Hudson was, but Kyler Murray and the offense will be quite happy to hear this.
