“Tell You What”: Carolina Panthers Legend Trash Talks During Week 2 Clash Between Browns vs Steelers

Former NFL wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. spent sixteen seasons in the NFL, mainly with the Carolina Panthers and the Baltimore Ravens. He represented the Utah Utes in college football, and the Panthers selected him in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He was most recently seen as a commentator during the Browns vs Panthers game in week 2.

The Browns bounced back by beating their venerable rivals at home on “Thursday Night Football” four days after their heartbreaking setback.

The Nick Chubb-led Browns won 29-17 to get to 2-1 on the year. Their defense also played well in the second half. Pittsburgh dropped to 1-2 after its own discouraging Week 2 setback.

“I tell you what, if one of these boys hit me while I ain’t in a uniform they will not be playing tonight!,” Smith said.

Even in his stylish suit, Steve Smith Sr. was giving these young blood the side-eye and ready to fight. The former Carolina Panthers wide receiver, who finished the last three years of a stellar career in Baltimore, is currently having success in the media and is well aware of how rough the AFC North division is.

Steve Smith Sr. may have been able to teach the Steelers a thing or two if he’d participated in an Oklahoma drill prior to kickoff on Thursday, as Pittsburgh was battered for 171 running yards in a 29-17 loss.
