Teammates, DeWanna Bonner, and Alyssa Thomas Announced their ‘FOREVER” on the Social Media Handle as the couple got engaged
DeWanna Bonner and Alyssa Thomas are putting their on-court and off-court chemistry on the line.
The star forwards for the Connecticut Sun confirmed their engagement on Instagram on Friday.
She posted a picture of herself getting down on one knee and writing, “FOREVER,” Thomas wrote.

Around Valentine’s Day in 2021, following Bonner’s transfer from Phoenix to Connecticut, the couple made their romance public.
The Mercury selected Bonner, 35, with the fifth overall pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft, where she played for them for the first ten years of her career.
Thomas has played for the Sun since being selected fourth overall in the draft.

She is the league’s all-time leader in triple-doubles and a four-time All-Star.
The pair has been the driving force behind Connecticut’s team this year, which has a 16-6 record and is now in third place in the WNBA.
Bonner is averaging 18.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while Thomas is averaging 14.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8 assists so far.

Thomas and Bonner, who collectively lead the team in points, rebounds, and minutes played, were chosen to represent Connecticut at the 2023 All-Star Game last weekend in Las Vegas.

The couple has not shared much about their love life but little we do know that the lockdown definitely was working in their favor.
WNBA bubble during the 2020 COVID-19 lockout, Bonner and Thomas reportedly started dating, according to team spokeswoman Alexandra Maund. Since 2021, the couple has made their relationship known to the public.

According to Maund, they got engaged last weekend in Las Vegas, where they both participated in the WNBA All-Star Game.
