Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Lavonte David Fantasy: LB NFL Defensive Data, Stats & Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

The Buccaneers selected Lavonte David in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Since joining the NFL, David has been selected for three All-Pro teams, made one Pro Bowl participation, and won Super Bowl LV in 2020 after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.

Lavonte David, who played through foot and knee issues to finish the 2021 season, participated in a full practice on the opening day of training camp last month. He estimated that the veteran linebacker who missed the final three games of the regular season due to injury played at roughly 60% of his potential during the stretch run and playoffs of the previous season.

In the Buccaneers’ 30-27 divisional-round defeat to the Rams on Sunday, David had 11 tackles (seven solos), one for a loss, and recovered a fumble. Lavonte David led the Buccaneers in tackles for the game, and his recovery of a Cam Akers fumble at the Rams’ 30-yard line assisted in setting up Tampa Bay’s eventual touchdown that tied the score.
