Take A Look At The Longest Losing Streak In NBA Regular Season
This year might see the NBA record for the most straight losses broken. San Antonio and Detroit have not won in more than a month for a number of weeks. Thankfully, the Spurs ended their franchise-high 18-game losing streak on December 15 with a big win over LeBron James and the Lakers.
But the Pistons keep losing; after losing to the undermanned Jazz on Thursday, it’s now 25 straight defeats. The crowd was predictably unenthusiastic, even chanting “sell the team.”
As things stand, they are perilously close to tying the record set by the 76ers during the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons—28 straight regular-season losses—in the league. Let’s take a look at the losing streak in the NBA.

When could the record be broken?
Honestly, when you’re 2–26, any opponent might appear like the Warriors from 2015–16. There could be some good news for Detroit, though. The Pistons’ greatest chance to win might have been against the undermanned Jazz, who were playing their second straight game after travelling from Cleveland, but they still have two games against the Nets ahead of them. Detroit can make it four games without a win for Brooklyn, which is currently struggling. The Pistons will play the 21-6 Celtics on a date if they are unable to defeat the Nets.
