Take A Look At Angel Reese And Coach Kim Mulkey’s Relationship Amid The Controversy
Despite being benched for what were reportedly locker-room problems, Angel Reese is back in the starting lineup for the LSU Tigers and is all praise for her coach, Kim Mulkey.
Though the 21-year-old is thought to be the team’s best player, it’s evident that, in the eyes of the head coach, no matter how talented you are, you won’t be allowed to do as you please.

Reese made her debut on the court against Virginia Tech, where the Tigers defeated them 82-64. The gifted shooting guard scored 19 points on her comeback, complimenting her coach and mentor. She had missed the previous two games.
“You need a Kim Mulkey in your life,” Angel told to media. “I’m going to say that today, tomorrow, next year, until the day I die.”
Angel Reese says that the absence is related to mental health.
Fans and the media were taken aback by her abrupt departure from the lineup, leaving many to speculate as to what specifically went wrong to trigger the problem.
It even resulted in an altercation between the mother of another team member and Reese’s mother, who used to play basketball, where it was clear that there had been a falling out in the clubhouse.

Reese provided further information about her absence from certain games, saying that while she never intended to hurt the team, she had to resolve some issues in order to improve.
“My mental health is the most important thing before anything,” Angel Reese added. “And I’m going to make sure I’m OK before anything because I don’t want to cause anything, harm, or any cancer in the locker room.”
