“Summertime in Latvia,” wrote Laura Vizla as she spent the perfect vacation with her boyfriend, Kristaps Porzingis amid his Celtics trade

While NBA Twitter was in a frenzy over the upcoming three-team trade that will bring Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics, the Latvian teenager was taking it easy throughout the summer.

Wednesday was spent swimming outside with the Wizards center, his fiancée Laura Vizla, and pals, according to a video Vizla shared on her Instagram Story.

At Venta Rapid, a waterfall on the Venta River in Kuldga, Latvia, the 7-foot-3 Latvian was spotted going through the shallow water while wearing nothing underneath.

Vizla added the caption, “Summertime in Latvia,” to the video.

The pair had earlier dined at Bangert’s Restaurant in Kuldga and had regional European food.

A three-team blockbuster involving Porzingis and the Wizards, Celtics, and Grizzlies was trending on NBA Twitter at the same time.

The Celtics are close to finalizing a fresh three-team trade to acquire the Latvian center after an earlier, highly publicized three-team deal involving Porzingis and the Clippers fell down, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski late on Wednesday night.

In exchange for veteran guard Marcus Smart, Memphis will send Boston a first-round pick (No. 25) in 2023 and the Warriors’ top-four protected first-round pick in 2024.

Tyus Jones, Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala, and the 35th overall pick in 2023 go to the Wizards.

According to Wojnarowski, the three-team agreement was reached just before Porzingis’ deadline to exercise his $36 million player option for the 2023–24 season, which was set for midnight ET.

Porzingis agreed.

In a prior deal that failed, the Celtics and Wizards tried to negotiate a potential Porzingis trade with the Clippers in which Malcolm Brogdon would have gone to Los Angeles, the Wizards would have received the 30th selection in the draught, and Porzingis would have gone to the Celtics.

In his last game, which was against the Hawks on April 6, Porzingis recorded 26 points and 18 rebounds.

He made his Wizards debut on March 6 when the Mavericks moved him, along with a protected 2022 second-round selection, to Washington at the trade deadline in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.

Since Kristaps Porzingis made their relationship Instagram official in September 2021, Vizla has publicly backed him.

Although it has been rumored that they met in the summer of 2019, the exact timing of the rather quiet couple’s relationship is unknown.
