Stephen Curry Lead Warriors In A Win Against Lakers In Game 2
As the Golden State Warriors fell to the Lakers in Game 2, Steph curry made history.
People frequently mention Steph Curry’s shooting and scoring skills while discussing his excellence. Although this is justified, Curry’s playmaking frequently goes unnoticed.
Curry spends a lot more time away from the ball than the majority of elite point guards do because of the way Golden State runs its offense. Because of this, his assist totals frequently do not accurately represent the caliber of player he is. Curry is a talented playmaker who can score goals for both himself and other people and in the first half of Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, he once again served as a reminder of that to everyone.

Stephen Curry Lead Warriors In A Win Against Lakers In Game 2
After a disappointing showing in the first game of the series, in which the two-time league MVP scored just 27 points on 10-for-24 shooting from the field, Stephen Curry entered Game 2. He found it difficult to overcome the Lakers’ bothersome defense, especially given Jarred Vanderbilt’s length.
In Game 2, Stephen Curry had a far better game plan, and in the first two periods, he skillfully used his gravity to create beautiful opportunities for his teammates and completely dismantle the Los Angeles defense.

ESPN: “Steph Curry was on fire in the opening period, tossing down 8 assists to teammates. That is the total amount of assists he has had in a half during a playoff game. Curry’s passes to the Warriors were 8-10 (2-4 3-pointers) in the first half.
Even though Curry only scored 20 points in the final minutes of Game 2, the Warriors still defeated the Lakers by 24 points, scoring at a pace of 137.5 points for every 100 possessions during his 29 minutes on the floor.

In Game 1, the Lakers did a good job of harassing him, but using him in more pick-and-roll situations in Game 2 allowed him to capitalize on all of that attention.
Curry is among the league’s top pick-and-roll scorers even at the age of 35. Only nine players throughout the regular season averaged more points per game on those plays, according to NBA.com. The absurd aspect? His efficiency level of 1.14 points per pick-and-roll possession placed him in the top 95 percent of players.

This feat, while not at the top of Curry’s list of postseason honors, is nevertheless amazing and highlights his passing skill, which is sometimes underappreciated.
Curry, who ranks 13th all-time in playoff scoring, has the chance to improve his record this playoffs. Record-breaking performances were a frequent part of his run the previous year, and he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down this year.
Feel it coming in the air, hear the screams from everywhere… 🔥
