Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr Team Up With US President Joe Biden to Participate in Gun Control Roundtable

Tuesday’s visit by the Golden State Warriors to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue wasn’t as commonplace as previous champions’ outings. Guard Stephen Curry and the rest of the Golden State delegation paid their first visit since February 4, 2016, and they brought presents for Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden.

In addition to making things extremely unpleasant, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris also invited a few Warriors to a roundtable discussion about gun regulation in the US. After the Warriors defeated the Wizards, their trip was a huge success. Klay Thompson arrived wearing a suit and black tie because he needed to attend to some “presidential business.”

Stephen Curry meets President

Over the years, the former NBA player turned coach Steve Kerr has spoken out in favor of gun safety and gun regulation. In May 2022, Kerr became well-known for politicizing the terrible school massacre in Uvalde, Texas.

“They refuse to do anything about the violence, the school shootings, the supermarket shootings” and that they put their “desire for power ahead of the lives of our children, our elderly, and our churchgoers,” Kerr passionately pleaded.

For the Warriors, who were visiting the White House for the second time in seven years, it was a time for celebration. After winning the championship in 2017, the Warriors chose not to visit the White House. Stephen Curry says he voted against traveling, therefore then-President Donald Trump withdrew the offer.

President Joe Biden spoke from the platform on the Warriors’ ability to replace Kevin Durant with a new Big-3 lineup. Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr surely used the platform to speak up on the right matters.
