Stephen A. Smith’s Comment On Alabama’s Brandon Miller Amid Shooting Allegations Goes Viral

On Wednesday night, Alabama freshman Brandon Miller took the court amidst heavy controversy.

Yet, given the circumstances, it’ll always be recognised as one of the most dominant displays in Alabama Crimson Tide basketball history.

In the end, Brandon Miller’s 41 points were all that was required for Alabama to defeat South Carolina 78-76 on Wednesday night. Yet, taking into account how chaotic the preceding 36 hours had been, the freshmen had a game that no one will ever forget.

Stephen A. Smith’s Comment On Alabama’s Brandon Miller Amid Shooting Allegations Goes Viral

During the preliminary hearing in the case involving former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles on Tuesday afternoon, the standout rookie for the Crimson Tide and probable NBA lottery pick was forced back into the public eye.

Miller’s role in the case was made public during the hearing, which drew harsh criticism and even “misinformation,” as ESPN’s Mike Morgan put it during the game broadcast.

Former teammates Darius Miles and Michael Davis are the subjects of a murder investigation that Miller is presently involved in.

Brandon Miller played for Alabama on Wednesday night despite his participation, and it appears that they will continue to do so.

All during the match, the road crowd yelled “lock him up,” subjecting Miller to a barrage of abuse.

But he did not struggle. With less than five seconds remaining in regulation, he tied the game, forcing OT. Miller scored his 41st point of the night, the game-winning layup, with one second remaining in overtime.

Stephen A. Smith said on First Take that NBA scouts will be impressed with Miller’s “mental toughness.”

“I will applaud Brandon Miller the basketball player from the standpoint that … to endure what he was enduring last night and to go out there as a freshman and to put on that show on the road absolutely showed a level of mental toughness that — I believe — NBA scouts, people on the next level, will look at … that level of mental toughness and find a way to applaud that,” Smith said.

Smith continued by stating that Miller shouldn’t be participating in the game.

Whatever one may think about Miller’s performance, it’s difficult to find fault with Smith’s analysis in this case.

The performance on Wednesday will unquestionably be viewed favourably by NBA scouts. Not only did Miller blow up, but he did it in a conference game on the round while being being watched.
