Some Colleges That Produce the Most NFL Players
College is a great stepping point for NFL hopefuls to prove their skills alongside some of the best players in the country. It expands one’s competition from local players to the top players around the nation and really helps figure out who’s ready for the next step. There are players that have been dominating the rankings for years, while others use college and juco football to prove hidden talents. While there are numerous colleges ready to support players, there are some colleges that simply stand above the rest in terms of generating athletic talent. Here’s a list of some of the colleges that produce the most NFL players:
University of Alabama
The University of Alabama is a dominant force in NCAA football, always ranking at the top in college rankings and win records. The program counts more than 949 wins, 28 conference championships, 73 bowl game appearances and a slew of national championships. The university counts 18 national titles to its name and has won six since 2009. Some notable alumni currently in the NFL include Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, and Tua Tagovailoa.

University of Notre Dame
One of the first college football programs, the school has produced the most NFL players in history. Notre Dame housed some incredible players, with the likes of Joe Montana and Tim Brown. The program has amassed more than 865 wins, 39 bowl game appearances and 13 national championships. Some notable alumni currently in the NFL include Zach Martin, Quentin Nelson, and Harrison Smith.

Louisiana State University
LSU is an overall athletics powerhouse besides college football. The program has claimed 12 conference championships, played in 52 bowl games and has more than 790 wins. The Tigers have also won four national championships, most recently in 2019. Some notable alumni currently in the NFL include Joe Burrow, Odell Beckham Jr, Jarvis Landry, and Patrick Peterson.

Clemson University
The Clemson Tigers have clawed their way to more than 750 overall victories, 22 conference championships and 47 bowl appearances. Clemson has also amassed three national championships, the first coming in 1981 and more recent titles coming in 2016 and 2018. Some notable alumni currently in the NFL include Deandre Hopkins, Desaun Watson, Travis Etienne, Trevor Lawrence, and Sammy Watkins.

University of Michigan – Ann Arbor
The Wolverines have racked up more than 940 wins, 42 conference championships, 48 bowl appearances and 11 national championships, with most of those coming in the early decades of the program, which started in 1881. Some notable alumni currently in the NFL include Tom Brady and Mark Ingram.
