Si Woo Kim’s Shirt Screams ‘PGA Tour’ While Playing With Phil Mickelson

The fashion industry is rapidly becoming more Rob Lowe-esque, which is fantastic. Si Woo Kim stepped out to the first tee box today wearing this PGA Tour polo that he was fortunate enough to find while rooting around in the Dan Flashes cheap bins with a bunch other similarly sized people. Si Woo Kim needed a good day to avoid the cut and entered the second round one-over.

But this one was loud. Really loud. The shirt features the words ‘PGA Tour’ all over it.

Why? He wants everyone on the planet to know that he is a proud member of the PGA Tour.

A little bit improved by the fact that Kim is paired with Phil Mickelson, who would argue that he has contributed more to the Tour than anyone who has remained in good standing.

Although the possibility for conflict between athletes from the competing circuits has not arisen, the three-time Major champion is likely to have taken note of Kim’s shirt choice during the second round.

The South Korean was wearing a PGA Tour jersey while competing. Not just a subtle attempt with the PGA Tour emblem subtly placed, but one with the term “PGA Tour” prominently displayed in every possible location on the shirt, including the front, left, and centre. It’s hardly unexpected that his outfit of choice has drawn attention on social media.

However, it’s difficult to believe that when he teed off during the second round at Augusta National, he wasn’t thinking about his interaction with one of the most well-known LIV Golf players in mind while wearing the jersey.

The participation of LIV Golf players in the tournament had generated significant debate before to the event, given the disruption its arrival had wrought on the sport and the fact that it has been embroiled in legal disputes with both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. With that backdrop, it appears Kim has chosen to use his grouping to make fun of Lefty in a playful manner.

With a shirt and cap each bearing the Hy Flyers GC emblem of his LIV Golf team, Mickelson has been sporting apparel associated with his own circuit this week, albeit much more modestly.
