SI Swimsuit Praises Olivia Dunne. She Delivered A Powerful Message To Everyone

To complete everything, Olivia Dunne is adamant.

The LSU star gymnast recently spoke about balancing gymnastics, college studies, and her modeling career in a video from her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photoshoot. She is presently the NCAA’s highest-paid female athlete, earning seven figures.

“When people look at my Sports Illustrated photos, I want them to take away that you can have the best of both worlds,” According to Dunne, who debuted in the 2023 edition of SI Swimsuit.

“You can be an athlete, you can be in school, you can do modeling, but you can have the best of both worlds — and you can be a strong, independent woman while doing it all,” at the end, she said.

“[Olivia Dunne] wants women to know you CAN have the best of both worlds,” Olivia added in the caption.

For her first editorial shoot with SI Swim, Dunne traveled to Puerto Rico. There, she donned a variety of seductive looks on the sand, including a string bikini by Burberry in its timeless beige and plaid print and a cut-out, thong two-piece by Entire Studios.

In the 2023 SI Swimsuit issue, which was published in May, only Dunne and LSU basketball player Angel Reese were collegiate athletes to be highlighted.

Each athlete spoke about how much they loved their particular sport and stressed how committed they were to improving the status of female athletes in collegiate competitions.

“As a female athlete, I hope I can bring attention to how amazing college sports are and how hard college athletics are,” Olivia Dunne told SI Swimsuit. “People don’t see [behind the scenes] every day of my college athletics, and it’s very time consuming.

“In gymnastics, a lot of people only watch the Olympics every four years, and I feel like I’ve been able to use my platform to bring an audience to college gymnastics, and people are starting to see how amazing all these gymnasts are.”

Since making her SI Swimsuit debut, Dunne has established The Livvy Fund at LSU in collaboration with Bayou Traditions, which aims to help female student-athletes secure NIL endorsement deals.
