“Shoutout to Aaron Donald”: Stephen Curry Thanks Super Bowl Champion For the ‘Ring Me’ Celebration
California has had a rather fantastic year so far in 2022. The Los Angeles Rams had a successful start to the new season. They managed to contain the Cincinnati Bengals when Aaron Donald was in charge of their defense, winning Super Bowl LVI. Same happened in the NBA with Stephen Curry winning the championship.
Their Californian neighbors supported them as their NBA colleagues in LA struggled. Aaron Donald gave Steph Curry some motivation on Thursday night, so he must have been watching the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl back in February.
Curry began his NBA Finals celebration in the midst of the third quarter of Game 6 after hitting a three to increase his team’s lead to 22 points. After that, he requested his fourth ring by pointing to his finger.

There was a lot to discuss following the game. While “Ring Me” would go down as one of the coldest shots in NBA history, the announcers couldn’t let Steph go without questioning him about it.
“Shoutout to Aaron Donald for giving me some inspiration for that celebration because I felt it in the moment. It might’ve been a little early, but I felt it.”

In the Super Bowl against Cincinnati, Donald stopped Joe Burrow on a fourth-down play to give the Rams the victory and earn his first championship. He then pointed to his ring finger to signal to the world that he had at last arrived at the summit of the NFL.
The Warriors haven’t been afraid to publicly acknowledge their victory. Stephen Curry wasn’t timid either after winning his fourth championship.
