Days after the 51-year-old NBA Hall of Famer made headlines online by leaving the house with his friend and influencer Brittany Renner, O’Neal made headlines once more thanks to a conversation with Ariana.

Ariana, a video creator who is passionate about spirituality, fashion, lifestyle, and beauty, became a topic of conversation on Twitter this week as some of her followers applauded her line of work while others focused on OnlyFans.

According to Clutch Points, Ariana then appeared to face backlash for her remarks, with some wondering if she had disparaged sex workers.

In a subsequent YouTube video, she responded to the uproar, saying, in part, “I have no problem with women who do sex work … I never want another woman to feel like I am belittling them.”

After being thrust into the spotlight unexpectedly, O’Neal sent Ariana a word of encouragement in her direct messages.

According to screenshots from Legion Hoops, O’Neal advised Ariana, “Don’t let them peopl [sic] bother u.”
