Garnett gave Metcalf a prompt appropriate for a professional player.

On an episode of “KG CERTIFIED,” the NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett tried to bring up the matter with Metcalf. Metcalf said that Garnett was “probably the worst person to ask that.”
Metcalf, 25, told an astounded Garnett, “I eat, like, one meal a day, drink one coffee, and eat three full bags of candy.”
Metcalf said that he preferred gummy candies like Lifesavers when asked to define “bags of candy,” to Garnett’s startled amazement.

“Talk about how important nutrition is. Nutrition’s huge,” Garnett said.
“I’m probably the worst person to ask that,” Metcalf shot back. “I’m a candy type person. I eat one meal a day, drink one coffee and eat like three full bags of candy.”
Garnett was perplexed beyond belief.
“Man, define bags of candy, man. Jelly beans?”
“Nah, see I’m a gummy type of guy. So you get lifesavers—…”

“Come on man. Stop, man. Come on. Hold on, hold on, man,” Garnett said as he cut Metcalf off. Garnett needed Metcalf to take him through the structure of his whole meal plan for the day.
“I’m gonna just take you through yesterday,” Metcalf said. “So yesterday I woke up, worked out. again worked out. Came home, showered. I’m hungry. Run to Starbucks, get a quick coffee. That’s going to hold me ‘till 4, 5 o’clock. This 12. This gonna hold me for like four hours. Around 4:30, I order some candy and a water. Got the Skittles gummies. Then I got the Lifesaver Creations. They the same size bag so I just mix them…get the gummy, get the candy, get the water, eat that. That’s gonna hold me ‘till like 8 o’clock. I’m having dinner at 8/9. And then I eat dinner, go to sleep. … I’m a candy eater.”
Imagine you're facing the Seahawks' offense in 2023, and there's a three-receiver set with D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Now, imagine the ball goes to seventh-round RB Kenny McIntosh, who led all FBS backs with 12.1 YPC and 12.3 YAC. From the slot! pic.twitter.com/HSBZ0cqFtn

However, the Pro Bowler, who has played wide receiver for the Seahawks for four years and has amassed 4,218 yards and 35 touchdowns, appears to have benefited from the sweets.
Metcalf had a career-high 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2020, averaging 15.7 yards per reception.
Regardless, this not a diet one should follow!
