There are also a few young teams who might shock everyone in the competition this year. Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador teams have all recently demonstrated potential and have a chance to shock some of the more seasoned teams.

Sportsnet is one of the main broadcasters that will broadcast the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2023. One of Canada’s most well-liked sports networks, Sportsnet, will be airing the competition live from February 17 to the final on February 26. 2023 Scotties playoff schedule, results

In terms of the schedule for the tournament, the preliminary round will run from February 17th to 23rd. During this time, each team will play eight games, with the top four teams advancing to the championship pool. The championship pool will run from February 24th to 25th, with the top four teams playing each other to determine who will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals and finals will take place on February 26th, with the championship title up for grabs.

The 2023 Scotties playoff format

Six teams remain after the top three teams from each pool progress from pool play to the Scotties playoffs.

To determine who progresses to the page playoff, the No. 2 team in Pool A plays the No. 3 team in Pool B, while the No. 2 team in Pool B plays the No. 3 team in Pool A. Each No. 1 seed receives a bye.

The page playoff, which will choose the winner, operates as follows.

  • In Game 1, the third- and fourth-placed teams play against each other. The loser is eliminated.
  • In Game 2, the first- and second-placed teams play against each other. The winner qualifies directly for the final.
  • In Game 3 (the semifinal), the winner of Game 1 plays against the loser of Game 2. The loser is eliminated.
  • Game 4 (the final) is then played between the winners of Games 2 and 3.
