Saquon Barkley Injury: Giants Star Made A Return To The Training Camp

Saquon Barkley Injury: Joe Judge won’t rush him back on the field.

Saquon Barkley injury in the last season was a huge setback for the New York Giants. However, he is still the star running back of the team and everyone is waiting for him to make a huge return this season. Barkley tore his ACL in September 2020. He was not able to compete for the rest of the season because of his injury. This year also he was not expected to hit the Giants training camp as there was no subtle information about his health conditions. The team’s head coach gave a statement that they will not rush the star back rather they will wait for him to get totally fit and fine.

We all know that healing takes a lot of time. If we unnecessarily rush then the injury can get more severe. However, it looks like Saquon Barkley is making tangible progress. He was recently spotted at the training camp, which can be his much-anticipated return from ACL surgery. Well, Joe has already suggested that the first few days of the training will constitute light drills and conditioning. One thing is for sure that Saquon Barkley will soon be taking the charge of the Giants offense. Once he gets back in the right shape and bang we will be witnessing him on the field again.

All eyes are on the New York Giants Saquon Barkley.

Saquon Barkley has a separate area for practising whereas the rest of the team works on a separate field. Every media house is eyeing the 150 square yards where Saquon Barkley is enjoying his return. The interesting fact is that Barkley is getting back to his old self. With each day of practice, he is getting closer to his old self. I think this Giants news is going to give chills to other team’s defensive coordinators. Right now Barkley is on the list of PUP (physically unable to perform) but it can change in the coming days.

The New York Giants will open the NFL regular season at MetLife Stadium against the Denver Broncos. If things go well and Saquon Barkley will be added to the roster then the Giants would be having a perfect start. In 2018 Barkley scored 15 touchdowns whereas in the 2019 campaign he ran for 1003 yards and had 438 yards receiving. The 2018 NFL offensive rookie of the year will be the main man of the Giants offense once he is recovered.

The most dangerous player in his position.

I have already mentioned earlier that Saquon Barkley is a beast when it comes to the running back position. At the same time, the player has quite a history of injuries. These two exactly opposite things make it difficult for the Giants to decide on Barkley. On one hand, it is true that Saquon Barkley is young and he has a long career to play. Therefore, the Giants are still bidding on him whereas, on the other hand, frequent injuries are not good for any team. I don’t think that the Giants can afford an injured player whose availability is not sure.

Last year after Saquon Barkley injury the giants had signed a veteran running back – Alfred Morris. It looks like the Giants still has a doubt about Barkley’s health conditions and they have decided to re-sign Morris. In fact, on Monday morning the team did re-sign Morris to a one-year deal. The sole reason behind signing the veteran running back is the uncertainty about the availability of the Barkley in the coming games. It is also aimed at taking off the pressure from Saquon Barkley.
