Ryan Clark & Kyle Brandt Get Into Heated Argument Over Jeff Saturday Being Hired As Interim Coach
Kyle Brandt has received a ticking off from ESPN’s Ryan Clark after calling Colt’s hiring of Jeff Saturday “embarrassing”.
After letting Frank Reich go on Monday, the Indianapolis Colts made Saturday, their interim head coach in a shocking change of events. Only the second person in NFL history to head a team without having coached in college or/and the pros, Saturday has never coached above the high school level in the past.
On Tuesday’s “Good Morning Football” program, Kyle Brandt criticised the Colts for their choice of a head coach. The talking head for the NFL Network also made fun of ESPN, where Saturday worked as an NFL analyst before accepting the position in Indianapolis.
I believe in Jeff Saturday’s intelligence & character; not his hiring. There are so many layers to this. Is it about Privilege, race, nepotism, relationship , or respect?

Ryan Clark & Kyle Brandt Get Into Heated Argument Over Jeff Saturday Being Hired As Interim Coach
Brandt blasted the Indianapolis Colts for hiring Jeff Saturday as their interim head coach despite his lack of coaching experience, as have many NFL reporters.
When discussing the decision live on Tuesday, Brandt expressed his surprise at the hiring in a scathing and condescending manner. Brandt continued by speculating as to whether Saturday’s former ESPN coworkers would voice the criticism he believed the hiring required.

“It’s an interesting media thing, too, because this is an ESPN employee, and I’d be fascinated to hear if anybody at ESPN has something critical to say about Jeff Saturday in this case,” said Kyle Brandt. “Or is it just, ‘oh, we’re happy for Jeff.’”
One of Saturday’s ESPN coworkers, Ryan Clark, made a compelling case for Saturday’s integrity live on air. In another tweet, he advised Brandt to take care of his own affairs and not worry about how ESPN was handling the problem.

“Say @KyleBrandt, stick to talking about the people that cover football at your network. We are good over here. Be well,” Ryan Clark wrote on Twitter.

“It is about doing our job as Jeff would. We all have to utmost respect for Jeff and who he is as a man & football mind. We love our guy, and when you open up articles to see folk at other spots running their mouths, sometimes I don’t have enough hops for the high road,” he said in another tweet.
Clark is aware that he is not criticising the issue as harshly as he would if it weren’t for his personal connection to it. He is, therefore, quite sensitive to Brandt’s bringing that up.
