Russell Wilson Subject to Memes Amidst Massive Contract With Denver Broncos as They Embarrass Themselves Against Rams

On Christmas Day, the Los Angeles Rams (5-10) defeated the Denver Broncos (4-11) with a score of 51-14, handing them one of their season’s easiest victories. Russell Wilson was sacked six times, threw three interceptions, and just once found the end zone—on a touchdown pass to tight end Greg Dulcich in the fourth quarter. Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, played on Christmas Day despite missing the previous week due to a concussion.

The Los Angeles Rams and Baker Mayfield, their newest player, were the opponents the Broncos faced at SoFi Stadium. NFL fans began talking about the Broncos quarterback’s massive contract extension following the 51-14 defeat.

Russell Wilson agreed to a five-year contract extension for about $245 million this summer shortly after being moved to Denver. Denver is 4-11 on the year and in last place in the AFC West, which is not what supporters anticipated despite the trade and contract extension.

Russell Wilson needs to be completely honest with himself throughout the offseason, and whether or not he does so will determine if he can recover from a trying season.

On his first three throw attempts, he threw two interceptions, which led to turnovers well inside Broncos’ territory. Momentum-killing plays like his third interception of the game left the Broncos unable to recover.
