Russell Wilson claims his ‘Wolverine blood’ helps him heal sooner as Broncos QB recovers from hamstring injury

Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, is crossing his fingers that the Wolverine blood in his veins will be able to help him recover in time for the team’s Week 7 game against the New York Jets.

Wilson is now suffering from injuries to both his shoulder and his hamstring. He suffered the hamstring injury during the game that the Seattle Seahawks played against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. Having said that, his availability for Week 7’s game on Sunday is still up in the air.

Russell Wilson, on the other hand, is well aware that it often requires some time to heal from hamstring injuries. It is not his first time dealing with the issue, and while he stated that it won’t be easy, he is doing everything in his power to be available for their upcoming game. This is not his first time dealing with the injury.

“When you play sports long enough—football, basketball, baseball—you’ve had some hamstring [injuries] in your life. Wilson stated, “But certainly, I’ve dealt with something like to this previously.”

“If I can go, I’ll go. I’m going to try to do everything I can to be ready.”

The Broncos have had a rough start to the season, as evidenced by their record of 2-4 after suffering three consecutive defeats. Wilson’s absence due to injury would be a significant setback for their efforts to turn things around, but on the other hand, Hackett and the team cannot afford for his injury to get worse and for him to be sidelined for a longer period of time.

In the meantime, those who support Denver can do nothing more than hold out hope that Wilson will make a full recovery.

Because Nathaniel Hackett will be the one to decide whether or not Wilson will play, the Broncos quarterback needs to demonstrate to his head coach that he is prepared for the game before he will be given the go-ahead to participate. Wilson, on the other hand, claims that he is “improving” all the time.

According to Pro Football Talk, Wilson was quoted as saying, “Obviously, that happened Monday night, but the nice thing is that I heal quickly. I don’t know—wolverine blood or something,” he replied. The Denver Broncos played in prime time for the second game in a row, but both of their games ended in overtime losses to the Indianapolis Colts and the Los Angeles Chargers, respectively. On both of those occasions, the level shown by their star quarterback Russell Wilson was not what this organization expected when they obtained him via trade from the Seattle Seahawks in the previous offseason.
