Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll’s marriage strained by his difficult demeanor, leaving Stoll feeling ‘lonely’

An informant claims that Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll’s marriage had “reached breaking point.”

Seven years after getting married, the golfer filed for divorce last week.

Just a few days before he was scheduled to play in the PGA Championships, where he tied for 12th, McIlroy and his wife unexpectedly parted ways.

Additionally, their marriage was referred to be “irretrievably broken” in documents filed with Palm Beach County Court.

An individual who talked to US Weekly claims that none of the two people’s inner circle was surprised by the split.

They assert: “A point of contention in Rory’s marriage was that Erica was lonely.

“Rory was a hard person to be married to.”

The couple supposedly “hit breaking point” since they led different lives.

Erica was not typically present at McIlroy’s tournaments because she was spending almost all of her time taking care of her three-year-old daughter Poppy.

According to the source, “She knew what she was getting into with his profession, but once they had Poppy, things really changed and she had a new perspective.

“Erica was usually absent for most of his tournaments and was really focused on Poppy.”
