Rookie Quarterback Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings
Besides the proven pros of the NFL, you’re going to have to pick some rookies for your lineup. It’s hard to tell, because college production does not equal NFL production. Regardless, based on things like taking another player’s place to simply having a ton of hype around them, here’s a list of the top players in rookie quarterback fantasy rankings.
Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Pickett tops the list, as many fans expect him to replace the Steelers’ legendary modern-era quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and take the job of starting quarterback from Mitch Trubisky. Easily the most NFL-ready quarterback of the 2022 draft class, Pickett comes with four full years of experience, complete with a 62.4% completion rate and 101 total touchdowns (20 rushing). However, quality fantasy contributions are likely to happen later than sooner because of his inexperience and an anticipated drop in pass rate by the Steelers this year.

Malik Willis (Tennessee Titans)
Malik Willis fell in the draft class, because the 2022 draft class was pretty weak on QBs. Only Pickett was picked first round, and none were picked the 2nd round. Willis is really athletic, but he struggled with his accuracy in college, completing 61.1% of his passes. Looking at some of his games against bigger schools, we see that he had just 173 yards and three picks and no touchdowns against Ole Miss, though he did complete 73.7% of his passes with three TDs against Syracuse. He can replace Ryan Tannehill, but Pickett has a better chance of replacing Trubisky than Willis does replacing Tannehill. However, if he does play more games, his rushing ability alongside Derrick Henry will make for a formidable offense.
Malik Willis is very much worth a pick in the late second round of super flex rookie drafts. His fantasy football potential is MASSIVE due to his rushing abilities along with his cannon arm.

Matt Corral (Carolina Panthers)
Corral falls into a tough competition as Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are also competing for the starting QB position. While those two have declined in recent years, Corral has the potential to take over a stacked offense with players like Christian McCaffrey, Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore, and more. If he can start or at least participate a lot in multiple games, he’s set to generate a lot of fantasy points.

Desmond Ridder (Atlanta Falcons)
Desmond Ridder finishes off the top rookie quarterback fantasy rankings. Ridder drew some comparisons to Marcus Mariota, who signed with the Falcons as well. Ridder is arguably the next most pro-ready quarterback in the class behind Kenny Pickett, so it’s possible Ridder earns the starting job over Mariota.
Ridder’s athleticism also drew attention during the combine. From speed to predictive passing metrics working in his favor – 97th percentile passer on early downs per PFF (91.0) – the Cincinnati product possesses all the ingredients to become a fantasy-friendly quarterback at the next level if he can earn the starting job.
