Pelinka, a businessman and former collegiate basketball player, was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 23, 1969. After completing his studies at Lake Forest High School, he played basketball for the University of Michigan.
However, he took the decision to terminate his academic career in order to pursue a career as a sports agent. He went on to manage several well-known athletes, including the late Kobe Bryant, while making a name for himself.

She subsequently worked as a pediatrician after earning her medical degree from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine in 2003, and in 2016 she opened her own clinic.
The pair is blessed with two kids: a son named Durham who will play high school basketball in the same vein as his father and a daughter named Emery.
