Rob Gronkowski Mocks Zach Wilson On Dating Drama, Asks Him To Stay Out Of “Parent-Teacher Conferences”

Rob Gronkowski, a former tight end for the Patriots and Buccaneers, is making sure people won’t quickly forget Zach Wilson’s offseason dating turmoil.

Wilson was mentioned by Rob Gronkowski, who is well known for his humorous demeanour, on “Fox NFL Kickoff” on Sunday.

The “Fox NFL Kickoff” crew cracked up at the joke, which was told during a segment of “Glass Half-Full or Half-Empty,” and it got even funnier as Rob Gronkowski casually drank from his cup.

Rob Gronkowski is undoubtedly referring to an offseason allegation in which Wilson’s ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile charged the Jets quarterback with having a sexual relationship with his mother’s friend. Whether the rumours were genuine or not, it’s possible that they played a role in Wilson deleting his social media accounts before training camp.

“I’m going to go half-full, as long as they can get their QB’s head in the playbook instead of outside at parent-teacher conferences,” Rob Gronkowski quipped Sunday.

When Wilson’s ex-girlfriend, Abbey Gile, claimed that he had slept with his mother’s closest friend, the 23-year-old quarterback became the subject of hysterical dating rumours during the summer. In a July Instagram post, the Jets’ second-year quarterback appeared to make fun of the accusations.

Regardless, the second-year Jets quarterback seems to have taken the rumours in stride, as noted in a July Instagram post: “Took the boys to @gozzerranchclub in Idaho before camp!” Wilson wrote. “Poor cell service…what I miss?”

In any case, Wilson’s terrible performance against the Patriots in Week 8 was the source of Rob Gronkowski’s jab at the quarterback for the Jets. In a 22-17 defeat, he completed 20 of 41 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns against three interceptions, but he was unable to complete the task at hand.

Despite having a 4-1 record, he has only completed 78 of 142 passes (54.9%) for 1,048 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions going into Week 9’s game against the Bills. Wilson needs to work on his play if he doesn’t want to continue being the brunt of jokes, whether they are about his dating life or not.
