“Right For Me to Work on My Skills”: Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, Who Tossed the Ladder For Warm Up, Discusses Altercation With Montrezl Harrell
The under-manned Philadelphia 76ers overturned a 13-point hole to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 110-102 on Friday night thanks to Joel Embiid’s 32 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 25 points and 14 rebounds, but a hostile Philadelphia crowd made each of his fourth-of-fifteen free-throw attempts in the second half seem even worse.
Because of his poor performance, he returned to the court after the game to practice free throws and got into a confrontation with a maintenance worker who was getting ready to work on the basket. Out of disgust, Antetokounmpo pushed the worker’s ladder across the court.

Giannis Antetokounmpo discusses his altercation with Montrezl Harrell
Giannis Antetokounmpo, acting like a man on a mission, moved the ladder out of the way, bringing it down in the process, then resumed making free throws. After the occurrence, Giannis Antetokounmpo thought back on the circumstance.
“I don’t know if I should apologize because I don’t feel like I did anything wrong, except the ladder just fell. I feel like it’s my right for me to work on my skills after a horrible night at the free throw line.”

In response to Antetokounmpo’s outburst when the ladder struck the floor, Montrezl Harrell yelled at him and stole his basketball to prevent him from attempting a shot. Harrell shared his opinions on the incident on Twitter after the video surfaced. He said that all he had done was ask Giannis Antetokounmpo to vacate the floor so that he could exercise.

Harrell didn’t explain why, as he eventually did, he had to take the ball away from the former MVP in order to work out on the other side of the floor.
